It all started with a few hairs. At the young age of 23, Joshua Shader noticed that he was starting to lose his hair. He assumed it had something to do with his genes, namely his notoriously bald grandfather Bill. However, it wasn’t until several years later, and during some significant life changes, did he begin to explore the relationship between the food he consumed and the hair on his head (or lack thereof). Serendipitously, he was introduced to a sixth generation holistic healer, MD and Ph.D in Food Science. Under her tutelage, Joshua launched his career doubling as chef at the five-star Waldorf Astoria Resort in Boca Raton, where he refined his palate and expertise in food preparation and presentation, and as her partner, crafting meals with specific healing properties to support their journey to health. He witnessed the powerful role food plays in the body’s ability to transform, a lesson that underpins his philosophy today.

Fast-forward to 2019, Joshua Shader is now a renowned local chef with CruzShader Catering who blends his passion for cuisine and a commitment to wellbeing to create personalized culinary adventures that nurture both the mind and body alike.

Along the way, Joshua has collaborated with such notable companies as Couture Nutrition of Lifetime TV, part of The Waldorf Astoria’s Luxury Collection, and has personally delighted the palate of celebrities including Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Lopez and Adam Sandler. Most notable accolades include nomination as Quality Ambassador for The Boca Raton Resort and Club, sponsorship from Alonzo Mourning to design & oversee a Raw Foods booth at Hoop Festival Miami, selection as the Holistic Chef to benefit BIKE MS and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and sponsorship by “The Food Network” to serve as a Raw Food Chef at the Miami Food and Wine Festival.

Joshua delivers culinary solutions for any situation, whether it is individual meal preparation for healing client ailments, Thanksgiving for a vegetarian family of 15 or a 100-person catered employee party. Joshua is on a mission to deliver the most delicious and nutritious cuisine that is both beautifully designed and creative presented to entice all of the senses and ensure a joyful experience.
